Welcome to Officer's and Their K-9's
This page is dedicated to the men and women in law enforcement who have served to make our countries a safer place to live.
There are many law enforcement officers with K-9's that go unrecognized for their tremendous accomplishments and dedication to their jobs. We have created this page to do just that.
Please take a few moments to read about these wonderful dedicated people and their achievements who serve their country everyday, risking their lives to protect people like you and I.
Dedication to O.P.P. Staff Sgt. Larry Bigley
Staff Sgt. Larry Bigley was a dedicated law enforcement officer for over 38 years. He was the devoted husband of Nancy, and loving father to his three daughters. During his successful career, he started off in 1968, as a rookie constable until 1979, when he became a K-9 handler, and in 1991 he became the full time O.P.P. Canine Unit Coordinator. He supervised this program, which grew to be one of the best in Canada. Sgt. Larry Bigley was named Provincial O.P.P. Officer of the year in 2003. After a long courageous battle with cancer, Sgt. Bigley passed away in September 2006. His many achievements and accomplishments will certainly never be forgotten. He will definitely be remembered by all those that knew and worked with him as the "Top Dog".
